“Hello, my name is Stephen and I’m a Disorganized Mess” – at least that’s what the top of my desk says about me.
Have you ever wished elves would magically slip into your house one night to organize your things while you slept? Or, maybe fantasized about television’s Mission-Organization crew doing a make-over for you? I know my desk has fantasies like that. But, how many of us would have the habits and routines needed to stay organized, if problem areas in our life were suddenly corrected?
Disorder is insidious. Slowly, over days, weeks and months, it slyly creeps in — often unnoticed — until it eventually takes over. It takes time for most households to fall into disarray; so it makes sense that it takes time to put things back in order. For most of us it’s unrealistic to think we’d be able to organize our homes overnight or in a few days, simply because there are way too many areas in our homes that need fixing.
Organizing takes time. That’s the idea behind Taylor Flanery’s “52 Week Organized Home Challenge.” Each week Taylor focuses on a different problem area. By working methodically, week-by-week you can get your home in order without becoming overwhelmed by all there is to do. Along the way Taylor shares her knowledge, skills, habits and routines necessary to actually keep an organized home. Follow her lead and your life and home will soon be running smoothly.
On Mondays Taylor sends out a weekly challenge email. You can begin with a New Year’s Resolution in January or start anytime you wish. To receive her free emails, along with additional organizational tips and hints, click on the 52 Week Challenge found at:
